Rock-a-Hula Baby it’s Surrey Jive’s Hawaiian Summer Party with The Firebirds.

Playing for you this month are ‘The Firebirds,’ one of Europe’s finest Rock n’ Roll bands and regular headliners at weekenders and other major festivals in the UK, Spain and Italy. Their original 50’s sound has led them to perform alongside Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Lonnie Donegan. The Firebirds have 3 singles and 12 album releases to their name and their self-penned single ’59 Ford’ reached over 7.6 million hits on Spotify. These guys play something for everyone, Rock n’ Roll, Doo-Wop and Rockabilly so please don’t miss what will be an incredible night!

In between sets Shakin Shep (Surrey Jive’s resident DJ) will be playing from his huge collection of ‘Red Hot and Blue’ floor fillers that include RnB, Rock n’ Roll, Rockabilly and Jump Jive. So, don’t forget to say you heard it first at Ruby’s ‘The Home of Happy Feet.’

This month we have a Hawaiian Theme for our Summer Party so please feel free to come in your loud Hawaiian Shirts, Grass Skirts and Coconuts and let’s fill the room with bright colours. Whilst we encourage a Hawaiian Theme it is by no means mandatory. If dressing up is not for you, please don’t worry it is your company that matters, and we guarantee you will have a lovely evening.

Our dances are well attended, and you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere to greet you. Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE has a large sprung dance floor, licensed bar and large free car park. The hall is situated close to the M25.

Tickets are £18.00 per person, and they can be purchased in advance via a link that will be posted here nearer to the event. Should there be any tickets remaining these will be sold on the door at the same price but please book early to avoid being disappointed.
