Six musicians, one piano and a whole lot of Rock ’n’ Roll — Cody Lee is back at Ruby’s for our Xmas Party!

If you were at Ruby’s earlier this year when The Casinos took to the stage, there was one musician who was impossible to miss — the extraordinary Cody Lee behind the piano. Cody now returns in his own right, bringing with him his superb six-piece band, The Rhythm Keys. Cody is one of those rare performers whose versatility knows no bounds. Rock ’n’ Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Boogie Woogie, Swing, Jazz, Blues and the New Orleans sound, are all part of his repertoire.

From a childhood fascination with the piano, he has forged an international music career few can match. He has performed in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Cyprus and Dubai, along with cruise ships, the touring theatre production Sun Records: The Concert, where he played Jerry Lee Lewis, Ronnie Scott’s, The 100 Club, Royal Festival Hall, Twinwood, Rhythm Riot, Retro Fest and the Summer Jamboree in Italy. The list goes on….

Now Cody has brought together his six-piece outfit to specifically capture the excitement of classic Rhythm & Blues, Jump Blues, Jive and Swing. A big band experience delivered by just six musicians. So, expect pumping piano, driving rhythms, infectious energy and six accomplished musicians giving it everything they’ve got. Whether you’re jiving, strolling or simply watching Cody work his magic at the keyboard, this promises to be one of those Ruby’s nights you’ll remember for a long time. Ruby’s is going to ROCK!

In between sets Shakin Shep (Surrey Jive’s resident DJ) will be playing from his huge collection of floor fillers that include, RnB, Rock n’ Roll, Rockabilly and Jump Jive. 

Tonight is Hollywood glamour night at Ruby’s so why not join in the fun….. dig out that party dress, dust off that tuxedo or come as your favourite Hollywood star! If that’s not for you then please just come as you are… you do not have to dress up to come along. Your company is what matters to us and however you choose to come, it’s going to be a fantastic night!

Our dances are well attended, and you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere to greet you. Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE has a large sprung dance floor, licensed bar and large free car park. The hall is situated close to the M25.

Tickets are £18.00 per person, and they can be purchased in advance via a link that will be posted here nearer to the event. Should there be any tickets remaining these will be sold on the door at the same price but please book early to avoid being disappointed as our events often sell out.
