Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has a tropical climate with two monsoons influencing its yearly weather. The southwestern region of Colombo and Galle etc. experiences heavy rain from May to September (southwest monsoon).
The northeast region of Trincomalee and Jaffna etc. receives its heaviest rainfall from October to January (northeast monsoon). The rest of the year sees less rainfall, but the humidity remains high throughout the country. Temperatures are generally warm all year-round, with slight variations dependant on elevation and location.

The Maldives
The Maldives has a tropical climate with hot, humid weather that only varies slightly throughout the year. The main difference between the seasons relates to the amount of rain experienced.
The drier season runs between November and April when there is less rainfall and lower humidity.
The wetter season runs from May through October, with higher rainfall and humidity.
